Team for 24th Vis Moot

Meet the UG Vis Team for 24th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot: Maja Góral, Jakub Kolad, Maciej Łaszcz, Hanna Rymkiewicz, Marta Tłok and Wojciech Święcki.

 

Maja Góral

Maja is a fifth-year law student. She is interested in alternative dispute resolution, commercial law, and international business transactions law. She constantly tries to develop her skills in those fields. After her second year of law studies, she participated in summer international exchange of Jagiellonian University with the Catholic University of America where she had a possibility to expand her knowledge in international business and trade law. She graduated with distinction from International and European Legal Studies programme at the University of Antwerp. In 2016 she participated in 23rd Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. Last semester she took part in Erasmus+ programme at the University of Sheffield where she attended commercial law LL.M. courses. Recently, she was awarded a prize for outstanding students funded by the law firm Głuchowski Siemiątkowski Zwara Adwokaci i Radcowie Prawni. Moreover, she used to be a head of commercial law student’s club and actively participates in work of University of Gdańsk Student Legal Clinic. Currently, she works in tax law firm dealing with multiple foreign jurisdictions. In her free time, she travels, plays guitar and meets new people.

 

Jakub Kolad

Jakub is 4th-year law student at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk. He is chairman of civil law and commercial law student’s clubs and ambassador of Carrer’s Office at the University of Gdańsk on Faculty of Law and Administration. He gained his professional experience in various firms including Polpharma S.A. – a leading pharmaceutical company in Poland. His legal interests concern civil and commercial law. In his free time Jakub enjoys cycling, traveling and hiking.

 

 

 

 

Maciej Łaszcz

Maciej is a 5th-year student at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk. His main interest is civil law and procedure. During 2015/2016 academic year, he was vice-chairman of commercial law student’s club. Since 2017 he is an intern in a leading international law firm. Recently, he was awarded a prize for outstanding students funded by the law firm Głuchowski Siemiątkowski Zwara Adwokaci i Radcowie Prawni. In his spare time, Maciej enjoys learning about history and music.

 

 

 

 

Hanna Rymkiewicz

Hanna is a 4th year law student at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Gdańsk. She attends classes on economic-financial specialization. She graduated English Philology at the University of Gdańsk. She was granted twice scholarship at the University of Gdańsk. She is head of the commercial law student’s club. She was a vice chairman of the student’s club „Koło Naukowe Praktyki Prawa”. She is an intern at the law firm. Her legal interests focus chiefly on civil law and commercial law. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, jogging and skiing. 

 

 

 

Wojciech Święcki

Wojciech is a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk. He is interested mainly in commercial law, criminal law and philosophy. He works part-time in legal counsel office in Gdańsk where he practices civil law and procedure. In his free time, he likes to play computer games and run. He perceives Vis Moot as a chance to improve his advocacy skills. He is a lover of Japanese culture and music.

 

 

 

 

 

Marta Tłok

Marta is a 4th-year law student at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Gdańsk. She attends classes on economic-financial specialization. She graduated from International Baccalaureate Programme. She is a Vice President of Student Research Circle on Commercial Law. Marta’s main interests revolve around the financial law and international commercial arbitration. In her free time, Marta goes to the gym, practices crossfit or cooks.
